Plans for a new Apple Store location have been discovered for a new shopping center just outside of Boise, Idaho in a location called Village at Meridian.
Apple has retail locations around the world, but it has always been highly selective about when and where it will open up shop. Their rarity plays a part in the high traffic the stores tend to receive.
According to a report from Boisedev outlining new stores opening at the Village at Meridian included mention of an Apple Store. The new shopping center is expected to open in September, just in time for the new iPhone season.
Meridian is a city just outside of Boise, and due to both cities' sizes, they basically overlap each other. Apple already has a store called Boise Towne Square just a few miles east of the new Meridian location.
Apple Stores are great to have nearby, as they're useful for trying out products in person, getting help from the Genius Bar, and scheduling repairs. When an Apple Store isn't available, these types of appointments are handled by outlets like Best Buy.
The new Apple Store will occupy a 10k square-foot storefront. While some stores open their doors in September, the Village at Meridian won't have every retail location open until February.
It isn't stated whether Apple will be among the initial stores opening in September, but chances are it will be. You'll find the Apple Store next to a similarly-sized Pottery Barn.
