Cookie Policy

What cookies we use
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We use them for three things only:
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| af_cookie_ok | Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice. | 1 year |
| af_seen | Prevents the same blog post from being counted twice in the view counter. | 30 days |
| AFSESS | Session cookie, only set for signed-in site administrators. | Until the browser closes |
Third-party cookies
We use Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) to understand which pages are useful, and Google AdSense to show advertising that keeps the site free. These services set their own cookies and are governed by Google's privacy policy. Analytics and advertising scripts are only loaded once you interact with the page.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings — see the help pages for Safari, Chrome or Firefox. Blocking cookies does not stop you from downloading firmware; only the view counter and the cookie notice will behave differently.
Data we do not collect
We do not ask for accounts, we do not store personal data in our database, and we never see payment information. Firmware files are downloaded directly from Apple's own servers, so those requests do not pass through us at all.
