Screen protector leak shows iPhone Ultra's asymmetric corners

Screen protector leak shows iPhone Ultra's asymmetric corners

A leaker with a decent track record has shown what is claimed to be a screen protector for the forthcoming iPhone Ultra, and it shows the device's unusual corners.

In June 2026, leaker Ice Universe showed off what was purported to be a prototype of the iPhone Ultra. Now the same leaker is back with an image of a screen protector accessory, which appears to back up claims of the device's shape.

That's significant because for the first time, Apple is reportedly designing an iPhone that does not have a uniform shape. Instead, it will be straight on the side that holds the hinge, then have more of a curve to the opposite side.

In a subsequent post, the leaker claimed that the protector is really intended to cover the entire glass area rather than solely the display. It's not impossible that Apple will give the display rounded corners on one side, but there wouldn't seem to be any advantage to doing that.

One of the leaked images also shows a camera cutout. It's a single cutout placed toward the top right of the screen, and will be for the front or selfie camera.

The iPhone Ultra is to be Apple's first folding iPhone. It's expected to be launched in September 2026, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
