During the iPhone 18 Pro event, Apple rolled out a pair of new AirPods 5 units, starting at a lower price.
Live Translation is the key feature on the new units. Otherwise, the design is very similar, but not identical, to the previous AirPods 4.
Apple claims 50% better active noise cancellation as well.
And, the price is lower than the previous-generation AirPods 4. The new AirPods with a Wireless Charging case start at $149, with the entry-level without starting at $129.
Preorders start on Saturday for the new units. Shipments start September 18.
