Apple has taken down the online Apple Store, as it makes changes to pages well in advance of the iPhone 18 Pro launch later on Wednesday.
A traditional part of the Apple Event experience is not being able to access the online Apple Store beforehand. That hasn't changed for 2026, as Apple has made it inaccessible once again.
Attempting to open the Store section of the Apple website shows a fullscreen graphic. The Apple logo for the "Surprise and Shine" event is in the middle, along with the usual text advising it will "Be right back."
The notice clarifies, "We're making changes to the Apple Store. Check back soon." It also has a link to watch the event when it goes live.
When it comes back live, shortly after Wednesday's 10: A.M. Pacific, 1 P.M. Eastern event concludes, you can expect to see a bunch of new hardware that appeared in the presentation.
As for what that hardware can be, you can count on it including the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, along with the frequently rumored foldable iPhone. Other likely items include updates to the Apple Watch line, Smart Home hardware, AirPods, and a small chance of an OLED iPad mini.
