Apple has released iOS 27.2 beta 3, iPadOS 27.2 beta 3, macOS 27.2 beta 3, watchOS 27.2 beta 3, tvOS 27.2 beta 3, visionOS 27.2 beta 3 to registered developers on Monday, October 5, 2026. Developer betas are unfinished software: expect bugs, reduced battery life and some apps not working correctly.

How to install
- Back up first. Returning to the stable release later requires a full restore.
- Sign in to the free Apple Developer program with the Apple Account used on your device.
- Open Software Update and set Beta Updates to the developer beta. Instructions for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Vision Pro are on our beta guide.
- Tap Update Now when the beta appears.
Should you install it?
Use a secondary device if you can. If you depend on banking, work or health apps, wait for the public release. To go back to the stable version, download the latest signed IPSW for your model from the signing status page and restore with Finder or Apple Devices.
